We know that planning an event is a big task, and the last thing anyone wants to deal with is a cumbersome printing process when it comes to invitations, banners, or other party printables. When possible, we recommend printing your order at home for ease of use – you’re already familiar with your printer, you can do it on your own schedule, and it tends to be a bit more cost-effective. However, many people prefer to send their party printables to be printed at a FedEx or UPS in their area. Since we know you already have so much on your plate, we did a test run with both companies to find the pros and cons of each printing process. Here’s what we discovered:

Printing Party Printables at FedEx

FedEx has many locations all over the United States, and since it’s a large corporation, it tends to have pretty standardized processes no matter where in the country you are located. We had a great experience with printing party printables at FedEx; the process was seamless, and the service was good. Here are our thoughts:

1. Select “Custom Print”
2. Upload your files and choose whether you want single-sided or double-sided. We opted for single-sided.
3. Choose between black and white or color printing. We printed in color.
4. Select the paper weight you desire. We chose 80lb ultra white card stock, which was the heaviest weight available.

            Pros

• The website was easy to navigate and fast. We had no problems figuring out where to go online and making the selection for what we wanted to print was as easy as can be!
• The party printables were available for pickup about 45 minutes after the order.
• Communication was clear and they even sent an email when my order was ready for pickup.
• The resolution and color were high quality.

            Cons

• The cost for FedEx was $11.25 before tax for 11 pages, which was a bit higher than UPS.

Printing Party Printables at UPS

The UPS Store is also a national organization with many locations across the country. Be sure to look at how close each storefront is to you, as it would be frustrating to have to drive a long distance to print. Your city may not have both UPS and FedEx, but it will likely have at least one or the other. In comparison to FedEx, he was our experience printing party printables at UPS:

1. Select “Online Printing” then “Copies.”
2. It will then ask you to pick your size and paper orientation. We did an 8.5x11 landscape.
3. You will have the option to choose single-sided or double-sided and select whether you’ll be printing in color or black and white. To keep consistent with our FedEx experience, we chose single-sided color printing.
4. Upgrade the paper weight to whichever one you need. Again, our choice was 80lb card stock, which was the heaviest weight available.

            Pros

• The cost was lower than it was at FedEx. Our order rang in at $7.20 before tax for the 11 pages we were printing.
• The paper quality was far superior to what it was at FedEx. It had a much heavier weight, and we were happy with the product.
• Like FedEx, the resolution and color were both great!

            Cons

• The UPS website was really tricky to navigate. It did not have the same ease of use that we experienced with FedEx.
• Once we ordered, we did not receive a confirmation or status update. After waiting for 5 days with no communication, we went into a UPS store in person. They were unable to find the order, but they rectified the situation quickly and were able to print my party printables within 15 minutes.

Worry About the Party, Not the Party Printables

The last thing you should have to stress about is printing things for your next party. Our process is made with you in mind and is easy as can be. If you’re unable to print at home, print your party printables at your nearest FedEx or UPS. Both have high-quality products that you’ll be proud of! Now go worry about the fun stuff, like decorations and the drink menu!
